Douglas County signs IGA to house up to 17 state inmates at $112.30 per day

The Douglas County Board of Commissioners recorded an intergovernmental agreement (IGA #6990) with the Oregon Department of Corrections (ODOC) to house up to 17 state Adults in Custody at the Douglas County Correctional Facility for the period July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027. The agreement sets the daily bed rate at $112.30 and establishes a not‑to‑exceed compensation cap of $1,393,643.00.

Under the agreement, the sheriff’s office will provide housing, basic life‑support and sick call services, and first‑24‑hour on‑site security for hospitalizations.
