West Oso ISD board authorizes superintendent to implement voluntary unpaid workday reduction for noninstructional staff (7–0)

Board members discussed administrative safeguards: limiting days when district offices or summer programs would be short-staffed, allowing managers to approve dates subject to service continuity, and treating volunteer choices as confidential. The superintendent will prepare procedures to track volunteer days and ensure coverage during critical periods.
The motion passed unanimously; the board then adjourned at 8:27 p.m.
