The Lansdale Borough Council on Wednesday approved the check warrant for March 4, 2026, by voice vote after Councilman Gary Herbert moved the measure and it was seconded. The motion passed with council members saying “aye.”
Herbert, reporting for the administration and finance committee, told the council that year‑end budget work for 2025 is underway and that the borough expects delivery of the 2024 audit in April; the committee will present the already completed 2023 audit at the March business meeting. He said January 2026 revenues were roughly $66,000 above the budgeted figure while expenditures were about $340,000 below budget, and noted an approximately $185,000 increase in purchased electric in January tied to cold weather and higher usage; adjusted revenues show about 18% growth after accrual adjustments, Herbert said.
Herbert said the committee will bring several formal items to council in coming meetings, including reaffirming Univest bank signatures. He also reported that the finance committee (3–0 in committee) recommended support for a Montgomery County 2040 grant for traffic calming at East Main Street and Lakeview; the grant is about $110,000 with the borough’s commitment roughly 10% (~$11,000).
The council did not take additional formal action on those committee recommendations at the work session; Herbert said staff will return with final details and that committee materials and an Excel dashboard with proposed KPIs will be shared with council members for review.
