Staff read the parcel numbers being considered and asked the board to set a hearing. Amanda, the environmental director, moved to set the public hearing for 05/05/2026; a supervisor seconded the motion and the board approved it by voice vote. Amanda said she would provide a public notice to the clerk and deliver application materials to the supervisors for posting and publication in the newspaper.
During public comment a resident asked what types of commercial development were contemplated; staff said they did not know. The hearing will give the public an opportunity to review applications and comment before any final rezoning decision is made.
