Perry County officials say they are readying trucks, salt and public information ahead of winter storm

Chair (S3) told the Perry County Fiscal Court the county is preparing for an approaching winter storm and has mobilized resources and communications.
"We'll be putting information out," the Chair said, adding that county officials had been in touch with the sheriff's office and volunteer fire departments. "We have, 18 trucks now that, we can put out solving. We've we've got plenty of salt," the Chair said, acknowledging uncertainty in forecast models but promising to follow updates and prepare services "to provide the services needed for this community with, whatever we face."
The sheriff (S2) was present to open the meeting and led the invocation and Pledge of Allegiance. The court did not record further operational details such as staging locations, exact deployment plans or contact points for residents requesting assistance; officials said they would publish public information to help residents prepare.
The meeting adjourned after the briefing and a set of routine approvals.
