At its March 19 meeting, Elizabethtown Borough Council approved a series of administrative actions and contract awards, including a revision to the Borough fee schedule, multiple low‑bid public works contracts, records disposal and permits for spring and summer community events.
Council approved Resolution 2026‑06 to revise the Borough fee schedule, with revised fees to take effect April 1, 2026. Council also approved Resolution 2026‑07 to dispose of records per the Municipal Records Manual.
Council awarded the 2026 Stone Bid to low bidder R. E. Pierson for $31,944.00 and awarded the 2026 Street Tree Concrete and Paver Repair Project to low bidder Wicho & Sons for $45,419.00. The Center Square Masonry Project was awarded to BMK Construction LLC for $29,430.00, and the Market Street Inlet Replacement Project was awarded to DSW Services, LLC for $24,936.00. All awards were made on motions from Councilmembers and approved by unanimous vote.
Council approved permits for the Carry the Cross event (April 3, 2026), the Memorial Day Parade (May 25, 2026) and Explore Church (June 25, 2026). The Borough also granted the Big E permission to sell raffle tickets during home softball games (limited to adults selling to adults) and to use the concession stand during the 2026 season.
Council unanimously approved the monthly bills payable list, which included: General Fund $252,607.00; Sewer Fund $81,765.18; Capital Reserve Fund $42,372.09; Sewer Capital Projects Fund $13,649.50; Liquid Fuels Fund $486.50; Subdivision Escrow Fund $1,189.50; Parks Fund $639.96. President Winterborne also stated that $9,356.01 in real estate tax credits were paid to qualified volunteer firefighters under Ordinance 1018.
The meeting concluded with mayoral and council remarks and adjournment at 8:55 p.m.
