The Cass County Board of Supervisors unanimously adopted a consent agenda at its Feb. 3 meeting, approving minutes, license renewals and claims across county funds and authorizing the auditor to issue checks. Bernard Pettinger moved to adopt the consent agenda and Wendy Richter seconded; the motion carried with all five supervisors voting aye.
The approved consent items included minutes from the Jan. 20 regular meeting and several January budget work sessions, and two alcohol license renewals listed on the consent agenda: a Class B renewal for Dollar General #20294 in Griswold and a Class C renewal for Bluebird Hill. Two items were removed from the agenda prior to the vote: the fiscal year 2025 engagement letter with Gronewold, Bell, Kyhnn & Co. P.C. and a report from the county engineer.
The board approved claims spanning multiple funds, with detailed line items included in the record. Notable amounts in the batch include a grant payment to Cass County Public Health for $37,656.75 and a $36,000 contribution to the Cass County Ag & Ed Association. The grand total of approved claims was $599,907.86. The auditor was authorized to issue checks to satisfy the approved claims.
The board scheduled its next regular meeting for Feb. 17, 2026. At 10:06 a.m., following business on the agenda, Wendy Richter moved and Mark O’Brien seconded to adjourn; the motion passed unanimously.
