On a motion by Director Shelley Harder, seconded by Director Tanya Silves, the board approved leaves for: Dannielle Kleist, Kindergarten teacher at Everson Elementary (08/24/2026–03/01/2027); Tyler Perry, PE teacher at Nooksack Valley High School (04/24/2026–06/12/2026); Kelsie Enriquez, Paraeducator IV at Nooksack Valley High School (09/01/2026–12/01/2026); and Erika Van Dyken, 7th grade ELA teacher at Nooksack Valley Middle School (08/25/2026–01/05/2027). The motion passed unanimously (M.C. 4-0).
The board accepted retirements "with gratitude" on a motion by Director Tanya Silves, seconded by Director Britt Lentz. Employees announced for retirement included David Benner (Grounds Keeper, effective 06/30/2026); Toni Benner (Paraeducator III, Everson Elementary, effective 06/12/2026); Mary Anne Thomas (Paraeducator I, Nooksack Elementary, effective 06/12/2026); Randy Jones (Custodian, Nooksack Elementary, effective 07/06/2026); and Ann Johnson (Food Services Assistant, Nooksack Elementary, effective 06/12/2026). Vote: M.C. 4-0.
