Cramerton commissioners ask staff to draft façade-grant template to help pandemic-era business improvements

He cited Mayworth’s as an example of a local business that renovated during the pandemic and suggested elected officials might contact businesses directly to gauge interest.
Town Attorney Karen Wolter said the program could include a maximum cap for individual awards and that staff would prepare guidelines and a draft template for Board consideration. The Board consented to have staff begin the process of developing template guidelines and assessing interest; no dollar amounts, eligibility criteria, or timetable were set at the Aug. 5 meeting.
The discussion directs staff to return with draft program guidelines and recommended limits before any formal program adoption.
