Council members discussed scheduling conflicts and the importance of meeting the 60-day due-diligence deadline tied to the purchase agreement, which staff said affects the return of earnest money if the agreement is canceled. The council voted to hold the Oct. 21 work session.
No final decision on the property purchase or the appeal was made at the meeting; staff said a hearing date for the zoning appeal will be set soon and that staff will present due-diligence results at the work session.
