CMAP presents revised CIP criteria to Dixmoor trustees; brief public comment on Grand Inn

The CMAP presenter said the steering committee provided feedback that was incorporated into revised evaluation criteria; staff adjusted weightings so economic development receives 20% and other federal/state mandates were considered. "Projects were reprioritized based on that criteria, so we now have a finalized list and that will be in the final CIP that I will send to you all and, will be posted on the website," the presenter told trustees.
Trustees and staff thanked CMAP for assistance. The village attorney and staff said the finalized package can be used to apply for future grants and proposals. During the same period a short citizen comment was made about the Grand Inn; the presenter and staff noted the meeting would be brief because a quorum was at risk and asked for a concise comment.
Why it matters: Updating CIP criteria directs how limited capital funds and grant applications are prioritized, which in turn affects which local infrastructure and economic development projects proceed. The CMAP-backed revisions will be posted and used in grant applications, per staff statements.
