Klamath County commissioners approved an order April 14 to annex property owned by Theodore and Karen Devore into Klamath County Fire District 4.
The board opened a time-certain public hearing on a petition that the county received March 6, 2026. Under ORS 198.857, because the petition was signed by the landowner and endorsed by the district board, the board was required to hold only one hearing; the board opened the hearing, took no testimony and closed the evidentiary record. The presiding commissioner then moved to sign the attached order approving the annexation, and the board passed the motion unanimously.
County staff said there was no fiscal impact to the county and that publication costs were borne by the district or petitioner. The board noted the decision follows the statutory review process and will enter an order declaring the land annexed into Fire District 4.
