(parcel 604240048) and Buffalo County Community Health Partners (parcel 603566505), and renewed motor vehicle tax exemptions for American Red Cross and Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska (one abstention recorded).
The Buffalo County Board of Equalization approved multiple exemption requests during its April 14 session.
Chairperson Sherry Morrow opened a public hearing for a permissive exemption application filed by Jacobsen, Orr, Lindstrom & Holbrook, P.C., LLO-Trustees; attorney Coy Clark addressed the board and the BOE approved the exemption for parcel 604240048. Immediately afterward the board opened a hearing for Buffalo County Community Health Partners; Jon Brandt, vice chair, answered questions and the BOE approved the permissive exemption for parcel 603566505.
The BOE then approved a Tax List Correction (No. 5221) submitted by County Assessor Roy Meusch on a motion by Ronald Loeffelholz, seconded by Bill Maendele. The board also approved motor vehicle tax exemption renewals: County Treasurer Brenda Rohrich presented the American Red Cross renewal for a 2017 Dodge Caravan (approval unanimous) and the Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska renewals for a 2019 Kia Optima and a 2022 Chevy Equinox (approved with Commissioner Myron Kouba recorded as abstaining on that item).
All votes recorded in the minutes were carried by roll-call. The BOE adjourned and the regular meeting resumed at 9:44 a.m.
Next steps: Approved exemptions will be recorded per county procedures; minutes do not list further appeals, property descriptions beyond parcel numbers, or financial impacts.
