Columbia County board approves consent agenda, contract amendments and reappointments

The Columbia County Board of Commissioners approved a consent agenda of routine items by voice vote. Items approved included meeting minutes for Jan. 5, 2026; payroll disbursements for Jan. 14–15, 2026; an application for a rural population health program grant and budget; a letter of support for a Lower Columbia River Watershed Council engagement grant; and a letter of authority for Micah Edward, deputy, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office.
The board also approved contract amendments and intergovernmental agreements, including an amendment to an agreement with OHSU for health officers and an amendment to a Behavioral Health Deflection Program grant agreement with the Oregon Criminal Justice Commission. The board reappointed Sarah Johnson to the Columbia County Homeland Security and Emergency Management Advisory Commission (seat 23, term to expire 12/03/2028) and reappointed Jenna Wiley to the Columbia County Ambulance Service Advisory Committee for local physician representation; a clerical correction was made to another term date before approval.
The approvals were completed by voice vote; the chair called for those in favor and received “Aye.”
