"We recommend Braun Construction Group to complete the work and identify Proposal A site work for the contract sum of $963,900," Mr. Wisniewski said during his presentation.
Board members confirmed the project will be funded from district sinking fund money. Questions from trustees focused on the contingency amount and funding source; Mr. Wisniewski described the $50,000 contingency as standard practice to cover general conditions and unforeseen site conditions.
The motion to accept the bid and authorize the award to Braun Construction Group passed by voice vote.
Next steps: staff will finalize contracting and proceed with scheduling site work and construction tasks; no specific construction start date was announced at the meeting.
