Commissioners approve corrected payout for terminated county appraiser after executive sessions

At the meeting on April 1, 2026, the board first entered an executive session for non-elected personnel at 10:21 a.m. and returned at 10:36 a.m. with no action taken during that closed session. After discussion in open session, Commissioner Lincoln Pochop moved to adopt County Attorney Rohr’s recommendation on the sick and vacation payout calculation; Commissioner Alan A. Solko seconded the motion and it carried.
Rohr later requested an executive session for attorney–client privileged discussion regarding pending litigation; the board entered at 10:39 a.m. and reconvened at 10:55 a.m. with no further public action reported. Other routine personnel matters were not detailed on the public record.
The board’s formal adoption of the payout calculation fixes the previously issued December 2025 payment and sets the basis for the next three scheduled payouts, per the attorney’s recommendation. The meeting adjourned at 11:08 a.m.
