The Boulder City Redevelopment Agency on Feb. 14 approved a three‑month extension to an RDA grant that VC First LLC received to build a portico in front of its business at 521 Nevada Way.
The extension request was presented after the applicant cited several delays, including reconstruction work on Nevada Way. "They have made a lot of progress in the last 3 months, but they are not finished with the project," said Mister Mays, the applicant representative for VC First LLC. He asked the board to extend the grant deadline to Feb. 14, 2026; the board noted Resolution 265 had previously extended the deadline to Nov. 14.
The request drew brief support from a board member who said it would be preferable to allow the project to finish rather than stop midway. A motion to approve the extension was made and seconded; the board voted unanimously in favor.
