Board approves Hidden Prairie subdivision and routine licenses, authorizes realtor RFP; supervisor asks for nonprofit accounting briefing

Land use: Staff recommended approval of Resolution 2026-017, the final plat/first addition for the Hidden Prairie Subdivision (splitting approximately a 13-acre lot to create a 5-acre house lot). Staff noted a standard condition that a septic permit must be filed and installed before any new home is occupied. The board moved, seconded and approved the resolution by roll-call.
RFP and property sale: The board authorized a request for proposals to recruit at least three local real estate brokerages to market the old redemption center and adjacent lots. The RFP will run about a month; staff said resolutions to formally dispose of land will follow once a realtor is selected.
During the RFP discussion a supervisor raised concerns after reading a lengthy newspaper article alleging that Walton Grama Home used donated funds for office furniture and other expenses instead of providing services. He asked that a representative from Imagine the Possibilities be invited to brief the board about how donated funds were used and whether services had been delivered as donors intended. Board members agreed the sale proceeds should support the services donors intended if appropriate.
Licenses and minutes: The board approved two Class C liquor licenses (Harvest View Farms and Premier Dirt Promotions Inc.) after KG reported no concerns, and approved routine reports and the minutes for the March 3, 2026 meeting.
