Northfield honors Cardinals Peewee football and cheer squads for 2025 season

Councilwoman Kern read a citation congratulating Coach Chris Graves, assistant coaches and the named players for their performance during the 2025 season. Coach Chris Graves told the assembled players and parents that the group of third‑ and fourth‑graders “was so talented, focused, and well behaved,” and praised their determination.
Councilwoman Kern then presented certificates to the cheer squad and coaches, including Cheer Coach Jennifer Hale and assistant Leslie Rhodes. Mayor Chau thanked the coaches and parents, saying they do a “terrific job motivating the players” and praising the cheer stunts.
The council recessed briefly and then continued with committee reports and other work‑session business.
