Summary
Lake County approved a $247,640.88 renewal with TD SYNNEX DLT Solutions to provide Oracle infrastructure support for the county’s BOSS system, covering servers, monitoring and security patching during the ERP transition.
The Lake County Technology Committee voted April 3 to renew Oracle cloud and environment support services with TD SYNNEX DLT Solutions of Herndon, Virginia for $247,640.88 to maintain the infrastructure that supports the county’s BOSS ERP instance.
Chris Blaney, the county chief information officer, described the contract as infrastructure support that covers servers, databases, 24/7 monitoring and security patching. Applications Manager Mike Maslana explained the services ensure that when Oracle releases updates or security patches, the county can apply them and keep BOSS compliant and available.
Members asked how long the legacy BOSS instance will remain in use as the county migrates to a new ERP. Blaney said BOSS will need to exist beyond the new ERP’s go‑live to allow live access to historical data for audits and other needs, but parts of the infrastructure can be turned down over time as data are migrated. Blaney also said the renewal was budgeted for the current fiscal year.
A motion to approve the renewal was made (motion by Kazbin; second by Roberts), the committee voted and the motion carried. Staff said the team hopes to reduce pieces of the legacy footprint as the ERP implementation progresses.
