On March 24, 2026, the Enoch City Planning Commission voted to recommend that the City Council amend Enoch City Code 12.1900.1902 to remove travel trailers and RV parks as permitted uses in Community-Commercial, Regional Commercial and Research/Industrial Park zones.
City Manager Ryan Robinson told commissioners that travel trailers and RV parks are currently permitted in Community Commercial zones and that the city already maintains a separate RV park zone, making the allowance in commercial zones repetitive. "We aren’t saying you can’t, but instead, you would have to apply to rezone," Robinson said, describing the amendment as a way to preserve commercial property for other uses.
Council Member Trower said the community has prime commercial real estate that should be available for shops and services. Commissioner Kyle Jones moved to send a favorable recommendation to the City Council; Commissioner David Hoopes seconded and the commission voted unanimously in favor.
The recommendation, if adopted by the council, would require developers who wish to place an RV park on commercially zoned land to seek a rezoning or special approval rather than being allowed as a permitted use.
