Commissioners suggested raising the stone element above the front entry to emphasize the primary door, adding transom windows to break up large glazing areas, and providing landscaping between the driveway and the new walkway so pedestrians need not walk adjacent to parked cars. The commission moved to approve the certificate with those adjustments and to request, if feasible, an additional east-side second-floor window to reduce the blank wall seen by the neighboring two-story house.
The motion passed by roll call.
