As part of a reduction in force in the family-liaison ESP category, Doctor Lohse presented a resolution to honorably dismiss Angela Gonzalez and Melanie Suarez Ramos; the board adopted the resolution by roll call.
Superintendent Sutton recommended acceptance of an $8,000 donation from AYS to support district athletics. A board member asked how the funds would be spent and was told administrative staff and athletic coaches have a detailed budget list. The board approved the donation.
Sutton recommended and the board approved administrative contracts for Natasha Geraldo (Fullerton Elementary principal), Dr. Josh Markward (Wesley Elementary principal), Guadalupe Gallardo Escovedo (multilingual coordinator) and other administrative contracts in the board packet, all effective for the 2026–27 school year.
Morgase presented a proposed three-year custodial contract with ABM Industry Groups LLC. The initial year cost is $1,581,215.43, with annual increases tied to CPI and options to extend by mutual agreement. Trustees asked whether the district would incur additional cleanup fees from repairs or upgrades; Morgase said maintenance staff covers those duties. The board approved the custodial contract by roll call.
Finally, the board approved a resignation agreement with certified administrator Carrie Cartman.
