The Chair opened the Snohomish County Counciladministrative session at 9 a.m. on March 17, 2026, in the Jackson Boardroom and online and explained procedures for public comment. "We'll call to order the Snohomish County Council for our administrative session," the Chair said.
A clerk performed roll call and reported four council members present. "We have 4 members present," the Clerk said, and the Chair noted one member was not yet visible remotely.
During the agenda review the Chair moved routine committee assignments for incoming legislation. Items A and B were placed with standing committees and, without objection, were to be moved to the next day's meeting to set a time and date for a public hearing. Item C was assigned to the Committee of the Whole and set for consideration at the March 24 administrative session.
There were no members of the public at the podium and no raised hands online, so the Chair closed the public comment period without speakers. The Clerk confirmed there was no clerk's report on pending legislation and no reports from outside committees.
The Chair referred to motion review number 26-135 and stated there was no administrative session agenda for the remainder of the morning. The council recessed until the 10:00 a.m. committee hearing.
The session lasted briefly and contained only procedural actions and scheduling. No formal votes or substantive policy deliberations were recorded in the administrative session.
