At its April 14 meeting the American Fork City Council approved routine administrative business including the consent agenda, committee appointments, an Arbor Day proclamation and a construction retainer release.
Councilmember Carroll moved to approve the consent agenda, which carried with vocal recorded approval from councilmembers present. The council then reappointed Chris Bromley, Melissa Johnson, Carrie Sykes and Roxanne Wilson to the Beautification Committee (terms ending in 2029) after a motion from Councilmember Holly and a second from Councilmember Hunter.
Councilmember Carroll moved to adopt the 2026 Arbor Day proclamation; the council voted in favor. The proclamation notes an Arbor Day program with Phillips School at Planner Park on April 30.
The council also voted to authorize the city engineer to release an improvements durability retainer of $767,408.40 for Springleaf Townhomes at 900 East and Pacific Drive, finding construction quality and materials acceptable and not showing unusual depreciation or nonconformance to city standards. Councilmember Carroll moved the action and Councilmember John seconded the motion, which passed by voice vote.
These actions were routine approvals on the consent and administrative side of the agenda; councilmembers thanked staff and volunteers for their work.
