The Cache County Council voted to schedule public hearings for Jan. 27, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. on multiple land-use and administrative items.
Councilmember David Erickson moved to set hearings for Cemetery Maintenance District vacancies and three ordinances: Ordinance 2026-01 (Dutson Rezone), Ordinance 2026-02 (amendments to RU2/RU5 zone standards), and Ordinance 2026-03 (allowing a canal setback exemption and increasing lot coverage in the commercial zone). Vice Chair Kathryn Beus seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
The Council did not take final action on any ordinance at the Jan. 13 meeting; the items are scheduled for public comment and hearing on Jan. 27, 2026 at 5:30 p.m.
