At its Feb. 13 meeting the Yarmouth Commission on Disability approved its December 2024 and January 2025 meeting minutes and covered routine administration, including membership updates, conflict-of-interest renewals and edits to the draft 2024 annual report.
Chair Gail Shoret moved to accept the December and January minutes; the motion was seconded and commissioners present voiced approval and the motion passed. Commissioners reviewed membership questions about appointing-authority seats and whether certain ex officio staff (for example the ADA coordinator) have voting status absent formal appointment by the Select Board; staff (Sarah O'Reilly) said she will look into the appointing-authority language and confirm which seats meet statutory residency and appointment criteria.
The commission also discussed the conflict-of-interest renewal process (Skillburst) and asked members to complete renewals within 30 days of the email notice. Members reviewed the draft 2024 annual report and made edits to membership counts and phrasing; the commission agreed to circulate a revised draft and provide final comments by the next meeting.
Outcome: minutes approved; staff tasked with checking appointing-authority appointment status and circulating updated annual-report text for final review.
