The Modesto City Schools Board of Trustees unanimously certified the Nov. 5, 2024 general‑obligation bond election results for Measure X at the Jan. 21 meeting. Staff reported the Stanislaus County vote canvas showed 68.5% support for Measure X, which authorizes the elementary district to issue up to $85 million in bonds.
District counsel/administration presented Resolution No. 24‑25‑28 to certify the election proceedings and recommended the board approve. Trustees approved the certification without opposition.
The board also approved Resolution No. 24‑25‑29 to consolidate oversight and appoint the existing citizens' bond oversight committee (which currently oversees Measures D, E and L) to also oversee Measure X. District staff said consolidation will allow a single committee to monitor bond expenditures and ensure compliance with voter‑approved project lists.
Trustees praised voter support and noted that previous bond audits for measures D, E and L had produced clean opinions. No public comments opposed the actions.
