Rose Noble of Visit Spokane presented the organization’s quarterly community‑impact report, highlighting marketing and convention metrics for 2025 and 2026 plans.
Noble said Visit Spokane tracked just under 1.5 million active website users in 2025 and that the organization is monitoring AI’s influence on search results. She reported approximately 45 million ad impressions in 2025 and over 50 million in 2026 to date, and she said the organization generated $13 million in earned media value in 2025.
Noble emphasized local procurement, saying Visit Spokane spent $705,000 with local businesses in 2025 and made 5,000 referrals to local vendors. On conventions, she reported 106 convention groups in 2025 that resulted in 76,350 contracted room nights and an estimated $42 million economic impact; she said Visit Spokane had 72 definite groups booked for 2026 at the time of the briefing and highlighted upcoming site visits, including an American Legion national committee site visit.
Why it matters: convention bookings and marketing activity contribute to lodging tax revenue, local business referrals, and economic activity; staff said they aim to increase shoulder‑season business and continue local vendor engagement.
Next steps: Noble will return with detailed tourism economic‑impact numbers for 2025 and continue quarterly reporting to commissioners.
