The board approved the district’s unaudited actuals for fiscal year 2024–25 after a brief presentation from Associate Superintendent Terry Comnick and fiscal staff.
Comnick and his team summarized estimated versus unaudited actuals across unrestricted and restricted funds. For the unrestricted general fund, estimated and unaudited figures were close: the district reported an unaudited unrestricted ending fund balance near $102 million. When combined with restricted balances, the district’s total ending fund balance was presented as just under $270 million. Comnick noted adjustments related to ESSER carryover and audit items and said the audited actuals will be available later in the year.
Trustees had few questions; Comnick said the first interim report will be delivered in December and that staff can provide additional breakdowns if requested. The board moved and passed approval of the unaudited actuals by motion (agenda item 10.3).
What’s next: staff will present the first interim in December and the audited actuals when available; trustees requested supplementary tables (for example, bond repayment schedules) as follow-up materials.
