Election results: John Farrell, Georgina Cannon and Margaret Perry win Reston Association seats

The Reston Association elections committee announced the winners of the 2026 board races during the annual members meeting. Katie Boswell of the elections committee reported the vote totals and invited the successful candidates to join the board at the end of the evening for a group photo.
Results announced by the committee: John Farrell won the at‑large seat with 4,152 votes; Georgina Cannon won the Lake Anne/Tall Oaks District seat with 1,016 votes; and Margaret Perry won the apartment owners representative race with 906 votes. The committee said full election results will be viewable on the association’s website following the meeting.
The board will meet the next day for its organizational meeting to elect officers and confirm committee assignments; newly elected members will take their seats as determined by that process and RA governance rules.
