Stilwell approves FOP agreements, Chamber event funding and creates Fleet Management fund

The Stilwell City Council approved labor agreements with the local police union and several items to support community events and city finance operations on June 2.
Council approved a Memorandum of Understanding with the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) for FY 2024–25 and a Collective Bargaining Agreement with FOP Lodge #169 for FY 2025–26. Both measures were moved and recorded as carried by the members present.
Regarding community events, the council approved five Chamber of Commerce events for FY 2025–26 with fee waivers and partial funding; the council amended the original funding request and approved a maximum allocation of $7,000 for the five events (presented originally with a higher figure on the consent agenda) and specifically authorized a $2,500 city contribution toward the July 4 fireworks and music performance. The council also approved use of Adair Park for the June 28 (July 4) event hours.
On the financial administration side, the council approved creating Fund 18 — the Fleet Management Fund — to hold vehicle lease/purchase funds, and authorized a new Fleet Management account at Carson Community Bank with the same signatories used on other city accounts. The council also approved changing bank signatories to add Barrett Harris and remove Lane Kindle.
These items were approved as part of the consent and regular agenda; the adopted labor agreements and fund creation will be processed by the clerk’s office and the finance department.
