Ambulance authority reports staffing, call volume and $150,000 county reimbursement

During public comment at the Feb. 11 meeting, a representative identified only as Mike provided an operational update for the ambulance authority serving Factoryville and surrounding areas.
Mike said four ambulances are currently in service with two crews on duty during the day and one at night. He reported about 140 calls in the county for the reporting period and six calls that day. The authority mailed 371 membership letters and had received 107 returned forms. He also said Wyoming County Staffing provided $150,000 for reimbursement support.
Council members did not take action on the ambulance report during the meeting; it was recorded as public comment. Separately, resident Joe Scala raised a concern about a flood light shining into a bedroom; Solicitor Paul Litwin said there is no borough regulation addressing such residential lighting.
