During the Feb. 2 Kingston Town Council meeting, resident Yehudah Aronson raised concerns about notice for a Jan. 27 special voting meeting that approved Resolution 2026‑4. Aronson said that as a citizen who tries to attend meetings he would appreciate more direct notification when special votes are scheduled.
Ms. Riviello replied that the Jan. 27 special voting meeting had been scheduled a week prior and that an advertisement had been placed in the newspaper. She added that the borough endeavors to update its website and that placing the meeting announcement on the website's welcome page would be helpful for motivated citizens.
Earlier in the public-comment period, Joseph T. Butkiewicz followed up on January comments and said Ms. Riviello had contacted him after the prior meeting with answers; Attorney Francis J. Hoegen offered no further comment following a prior public hearing.
Council did not take formal action on notice procedures at the Feb. 2 meeting; the manager's responses described the borough's current practices and suggested online postings as a possible improvement.
