The Kingston Town Council voted unanimously on three resolutions during its Feb. 2 regular meeting.
Resolution 2026-4 approved the appointment of Rob Jacobs to the Wyoming Valley Sewage Authority to fill a remaining term; the motion to approve was made by Mrs. Cooper, seconded by Mr. Chernesky, and passed by a 7–0 roll call (Mr. Rush, Mr. Manley, Mr. Keating, Mrs. Cooper, Ms. McMahon, Mr. Chernesky, Mr. Littzi all voted yes).
Resolution 2026-5 approved an intermunicipal liquor‑license transfer from Francis V. Alexis of Hanover Township to Shovlin Holdings, LLC for use at a new business at 365 Pierce St.; Mr. Keating moved, Mr. Littzi seconded, and the motion passed 7–0.
Resolution 2026-8 authorized a financing agreement to purchase a 2026 front‑loader garbage truck at a purchase price of $284,526.57. Ms. Riviello noted that $200,000 of the financing would be covered by a county LSA grant (she corrected an earlier verbal misstatement that had misstated the grant amount). Mrs. Cooper moved to approve the financing agreement, Mr. Rush seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
All three motions were adopted without recorded opposition or abstentions. After the votes, council moved on to new business and adjourned the regular meeting at 7:23 p.m.; an executive session followed.
