County extends inmate food services contract to June 1 under short amendment

The Montgomery County Commission on Feb. 18 approved Amendment No. 2 to Contract No. 52200-22B-003 with Industry Standard, LLC, extending the county’s inmate food services contract through June 1, 2025. The motion to approve carried unanimously.
Purchasing Manager Khristie Davis’ memo noted the amendment extends the contract for 90 days and keeps all original provisions in force; the extension was coordinated with Sheriff Derrick Cunningham, whose office manages the detention facility. The amendment document in the packet provides signature blocks for the vendor and the commission and reflects the effective extension date.
The commission did not discuss changes to pricing or services in the public minutes; the extension was presented as an administrative contract timing action. Any future adjustments to vendor performance, scope or county procurement steps would require separate action by the commission or Purchasing Department as appropriate.
