A clarification was made that seizures or DA‑funded travel paid from seizure funds would not be covered by this county‑funds policy.
Treasurer Miss Harris asked the court to approve adding TexasCLASS (Texas Cooperative Liquid Assets Security System Trust) to the county’s list of approved investments to diversify funds expected from certificate of obligation proceeds for jail financing; a TexasCLASS representative described the fund’s liquidity and recent returns. Commissioners approved adding the pool.
On grant administration, the court approved Draw Request No. 15 for $312,970 to LJ Engineering under GLO CDBG‑MIT contract 24065014E171 for the countywide drainage study and approved corresponding payment documentation and invoice. Two grant‑related professional services contracts were tabled pending finalized scopes and executed agreements.
The court recorded motions and votes for the items and asked staff to return with any additional policy refinements and contract documents as they are finalized.
