Geo and Dana Peart appeared in person to apply to open a bed-and-breakfast at their home. The Pearts told the board they have completed state paperwork and are awaiting a tax identification number, and that the house is configured to host up to four guests. The board approved the license and set an annual fee of $25. The Pearts said they anticipate opening in May.
Geo Peart also asked the board for a letter and map identifying areas of town that would require rezoning for the business; the board agreed to provide that documentation. The motion to approve the license was made by Council member Brandon Hatch and seconded by Clay Barker; the motion passed with all members voting in favor.
No permits or inspections beyond the state filings were recorded in the meeting minutes; the Pearts and board members discussed next steps but did not record any additional formal conditions. The board did not record any opposition to the license during the meeting.
The board moved on to other agenda items; the Pearts left the public portion of the meeting after the licensing vote.
