Board approves contracts for juvenile stability services to draw on $400,000 Sherwood allocation

The Douglas County Board of Commissioners approved consent-agenda agreements on April 14 for two fee‑for‑service providers delivering juvenile stability services funded from a Sherwood funds allocation.
Commissioner Cavanaugh requested the source and amount for items b and c on the consent agenda. Dr. Abby Carbaugh of Douglas County Juvenile Justice said the services are paid from a Sherwood allocation and that "there's a $400,000 annual allocation for this year that was given to DCYC" that will fund fee-for-service contracts as referrals are made. Carbaugh explained providers will be paid at hourly, daily or per-session rates depending on the service; examples cited in the packet included $66 per hour for family partner services, $68 per hour for family support, and $156 per session for outpatient counseling.
Commissioners asked staff to provide periodic updates on the Sherwood drawdown so the board can monitor remaining funds. The consent agenda motion passed 7–0.
