The Troy School District Board of Education approved the personnel slate attached as Exhibit D at its April 13 meeting, including resignations, retirements, renewals, supplemental assignments and new employments.
Administration called out two long-serving employees who are leaving: a teacher with 34 years of service and an administrative assistant with 23 years of service. Leadership said those staff members would be honored at upcoming events.
Superintendent (administration) and principals introduced several newly hired teachers who are returning alumni or who come from nearby districts. New hires announced included teachers for math and science, a guidance counselor transfer, a football coach and a school nurse who recently started. Administration credited recent job fairs for strong recruiting results.
A board member said the district values lengthy service and praised the newly hired staff for choosing to return to Troy.
