The Brooke County Commission on April 7 unanimously approved multiple in-house budget transfers and authorized an ARPA draw to fund a local sewer extension.
Commissioner Christina J. White moved, Commissioner Stacey Wise seconded and the commission approved budget transfers that included amounts for Pioneer Trail ($158.00), the Tax Office ($9,439.20), Assessor’s Office ($11,001.00), County Jail ($7,230.00) and Home Conf. ($2,731.00). The commission also approved ARPA Project #2 Draw #3 in the amount of $9,305.82 for the Drover’s Inn Sewage Extension Project.
The board approved routine invoices and ordered checks across multiple funds (General County Fund, E‑911 Communications, Ambulance Service, Shelter Levy, Valuation, County Clerk Record Room) as recorded in the minutes.
Why it matters: the ARPA draw will fund a specific sewer extension tied to the Drover’s Inn project, and approved transfers move existing budgeted resources between county accounts. The actions were recorded as unanimous motions in the minutes.
