Rustic Lane modernization delayed; district to return with revised schedule

During the Dec. 9 meeting, administration updated the board on the Rustic Lane modernization project and said final approvals from the Division of State Architect (DSA) will arrive later than anticipated.
Paula Ford reported the district recently met with the project architect and construction manager and now expects DSA final approvals in 2026 — a delay of roughly two to three months from earlier expectations. Ford said staff will review phasing and vacating options with the project team and return to the board in January with a recommended schedule.
Trustees did not take action at the meeting but acknowledged the need for a clear timeline and the importance of providing accurate schedules to affected school sites and families.
