The Jurupa Unified School District Board on Dec. 9 approved a series of compensation actions affecting represented and non‑represented employees: a tentative agreement with NEA Harupa, an MOU clarifying CSEA provisions, and a compensation package for administrators and confidential staff.
Paula Ford and Denise Hernandez presented highlights of the bargaining results. For NEA Harupa, the district disclosed an ongoing 2.2% salary schedule increase effective July 1, 2025, a one‑time 1.25% off‑schedule payment and an increase in the health and welfare cap from $14,250 to $14,600. Ford said the NEA membership had ratified the tentative agreement and the district posted the full tentative agreement in accordance with Government Code requirements.
Hernandez presented a memorandum of understanding with CSEA chapter 392 that memorializes a 'me too' provision: if other employee groups receive greater salary or benefit increases, the difference will be paid to CSEA unit members. She also said the MOU clarifies longevity increments and uniform allowance calculations following a PERS audit.
The board also approved a compensation package for certificated administrators, classified management and confidential employees mirroring the represented group terms: a 2.2% ongoing salary increase effective 07/01/2025, a $350 per‑employee health and welfare bump, and a one‑time 1.25% off‑schedule payment.
Trustees thanked negotiators and administration for collaborative bargaining. The NEA tentative agreement and the compensation package were each approved by vote (each item passed with 4 ayes, 1 absent). The CSEA MOU also passed by the same margin.
