The Nags Head Board of Commissioners on April 15 adopted an updated strategic plan that refines the town’s vision, goals and action items and prepares a public website for progress tracking.
Staff member Andy presented the update, saying the document retains the town’s previously adopted vision and mission but adds more detailed action‑item descriptions and a new public website that will link to related documents and status reports. "We've added a column that says description... so the public can better understand what we're talking about," Andy said.
After brief discussion a commissioner moved to adopt the plan as presented; the board approved the motion by voice vote.
Staff said they anticipate another retreat in the fall and will publish the plan on the town website after formal adoption.
