The mayor’s safety director told the Seven Hills City Council on April 14 that the city has received multiple complaints about a property on Sprague Road and will re-inspect the site after a 30-day written notice expires.
The director reviewed enforcement history going back to mid-2024: complaints for tall grass and weeds, trash and debris, and, in July 2025, junk and trailers. He said each earlier complaint was followed by city action to remove hazards and close the case. The safety director said a more recent case for junk and debris was opened in March 2026 and that city staff issued a written notice giving the owner one month to clean up. "That 30 days expires tomorrow," the safety director told council, and city inspectors will follow up to verify compliance.
He said a separate March complaint about vehicle repairs in a driveway resulted in agreement to mediation; mediation details and timing were described as "TBD." The director told council that if conditions are outside the scope of current enforcement tools, the matter could be referred back to council for possible ordinance changes, but emphasized that "council makes rules and the administration enforces them."
Council members did not take legislative action on the Sprague Road case during the meeting; the report was presented as an informational enforcement update and a possible invitation for council to consider changes to local ordinances if current rules prove insufficient.
The council's next steps were not finalized on the record; the safety director said staff would inspect the property the day after the meeting and that mediation is scheduled between the parties involved in the separate driveway repair complaint.
