The City of Prescott Board of Adjustments voted on March 19 to recommend LDC-26-002, a package of land development code and bylaws updates, to city council for final action.
Tammy Dubois, community planner, said the city clerk’s office reviewed the code and proposed changes to make board and commission bylaws consistent with the updated city code. Key changes presented included vacancy language that allows city council to remove a member who misses more than three meetings without prior notice (with emergency exceptions) and a new process for selecting officers: the board will select a chair and vice-chair at the first meeting following April 1 rather than having council appoint them.
Dubois said the same changes are being reviewed by Planning and Zoning and Prescott Preservation commissions and will be forwarded to city council after those reviews. Tom Hutchison moved to approve the recommended LDC-26-002 language; Rick Kimrey seconded. The motion passed 4-0.
Dubois also announced a rescheduled meeting for next month and noted returning board member Larry Meads will rejoin the board. The board adjourned after the announcement.
