"I don't know how it works… when I was going to school, we went to the actual school," Jerry said, adding that as an essential worker it is hard for him to get his son back and forth.
Supervisor Schaeffer responded that the town does not have jurisdiction over the school district and identified Jerry's district as the CoPEG School District. He said the board would connect Jerry with CoPEG Superintendent Dr. Bannon and noted the school board meets in public about every two weeks. "We don't have any control or jurisdiction over the school district," Schaeffer said, and offered to provide contact information and assistance in reaching the superintendent.
Supervisor Schaeffer also announced that three written public comment submissions from Anthony Mignon of 886 County Line Road, Amityville, received on March 18, March 23 and March 24, 2026, were entered into the meeting record.
