Decatur council approves rezoning of 1319 Pisgah Road after brief public hearing

The Decatur City Council voted 4–0 to approve rezoning request 144426 to change 1319 Pisgah Road Southeast from CC to RSC (residential single-family estate) after a public hearing. The council recorded the action as orders number 264638.

At the public hearing, Vogt summarized the request, saying the property owner wants to convert the parcel and adjacent land to a residence. A resident who was addressed in the record as Mr. Fricki urged better public notification for rezoning matters, saying the city's on-site sign at Pisgah Road would not have been seen by many nearby residents and that larger projects should trigger neighborhood meetings.

The council received a motion to approve from Benjamin McMasters and a second (recorded as Ms. Wartsler). Roll-call voting produced a 4–0 approval.
