WIXOM, Mich. — At its April 14 meeting the Wixom City Council approved several routine but consequential administrative items and set a schedule for review of the city’s fiscal 2026–27 budget.
Council approved the retroactive purchase and installation of replacement computers through the State of Michigan master contract at a total cost shown in the agenda packet of $30,991.43 after staff explained a minor post‑report price change based on availability of specific models. Ty Dolan, a vendor representative, explained the substitution of Lenovo ThinkBooks for ThinkPads and noted the total change amounted to roughly $52.
The council also approved a facilities locate agreement with Metro Fiber Net authorizing reimbursement of city costs tied to telecommunications infrastructure installation; staff said some sidewalk and concrete repairs will be scheduled when weather permits. The council accepted the city manager’s submission of the proposed FY 2026–27 budget and set a public hearing for May 26, 2026. A motion to convene a closed session later in the meeting under MCL 15.268(d) to consider purchase or lease of real property passed by voice vote.
