"I've been involved ... since my kids ... now my grandkids," the appointee said, describing long-term volunteer work that one councilor called "unbelievable" in dedication and hours.
With a motion and a second and no other discussion, the council approved the resolution appointing Blevins and welcomed him to the parks board.
